Documentary
Tony is also currently working on a documentary titled "Theatre Over Rice and Beans." Film actress Miriam Colon, founder and producing artistic director of the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater; René Buch, artistic director of “Repertorio Español;” and, Max Ferrá, founder and former artistic director International Arts Relations Inc.,better known as INTAR, the second-oldest Latino theater company in the United States, are the three featured theatre figures in the documentary produced and directed by Mata. The film also features such luminaries as Harold Prince, Graciela Danielle, Maria Irene Fornes and many others.
The documentary centers around the conversations among Mata, Buch, Colon and Ferrá over dinner with Mata.
